Spannender könnte es kaum sein. Der Airwaves Noumea Dream Cup hatte auch am 4. Wettkampftag beste Windbedingungen mit bis zu 25 Knoten zu bieten. Ben van der Steen steht mittlerweile im Ranking ganz oben da er gestern eine beinahe perfekte Performance abrufen konnte und mit 2 Siegen und einem zweiten Platz grandiosen Speed und fehlerfreie Halsen zeigte. Doch auch Antoine Albeau ließ sich, von einem für seine Verhältnisse eher durchschnittlichen Tag gestern, nicht aus der Ruhe bringen und liegt nun im Titelrennen nach seinem zweiten Eliminations Sieg und einer guten Performance in den anderen Wettfahrten wieder leicht vor Cyril Moussilmani. Der Abstand ist denkbar knapp und da die Vorhersage für die restlichen Eventtage ebenfalls gut aussieht ist noch rein garnichts entschieden. Wir sind sehr gespannt wer seine Nerven besser im Zaum halten kann.
Bei den Damen sind übrigens mittlerweile bereits 8 Eliminations ausgefahren. Delphine Cousin darf fast schon feiern, mit jeder Elimination mehr unterstreicht die Französin ihren Anspruch auf den Weltmeistertitel und liegt in der Eventwertung weiterhin auf Rang 1. Eine Position in den Top4 würde ihr zum Titelgewinn reichen.

Die Übertragung startet so gegen 00:30 und wie immer führt Ben Proffitt durch die Heats – welche die letzten Tage spannender waren als so mancher Blockbuster. ------------------------------------------------------------ The wind continued to blow on day four of the Airwaves Noumea Dream Cup PWA to produce another action packed day in New Caledonia, as a further three races for the men and four races for the women were completed in 15-25 knot winds. By the end of the day Ben Van Der Steen (Tabou / GA Sails / Mystic) headed to the top of the rankings after a near perfect display, which saw the flying Dutchman win two races and claim second in the other. Meanwhile, Antoine Albeau (RRD / NeilPryde), edged into the lead in the battle for the 2014 title as he took his second bullet of the week in the final elimination of the day, whilst Delphine Cousin (Starboard / Loft Sails) edged ever closer to the world title after securing two more victories today. Men’s – Elimination Four – Winners’ Final Björn Dunkerbeck (Starboard / Severne / Chris Benz / Dunkerbeck Eyewear) made the best start in the opening winners’ final of the day, but it was Ben Van Der Steen who led after the first gybe ahead of Antoine Albeau and Cyril Moussilmani (Starboard / Severne). By the penultimate gybe Van Der Steen had built a substantial lead and continued to fly over the remainder of the course to claim his first bullet of the week. Julien Quentel (RRD / NeilPryde) showed more impeccable gybing to finish second in front of Albeau and Moussilmani – third and fourth – whilst Dunkerbeck finished fifth. Elimination Five – Winners’ Final The title race saw the pendulum of momentum swing into Antoine Albeau’s favour in the fifth elimination after Cyril Moussilmani jumped the gun to be disqualified – opening the door for his rival to reduce the deficit. Upon the restart, it was once again Ben Van Der Steen who broke into an early lead, and just as in the previous race the Dutchman laid down the gauntlet to claim back-to-back bullets after another flawless display. Julien Quentel secured second place, whilst Antoine Albeau was able to burn past Cedric Bordes (Tabou / GA Sails) on the third reach to finish third. AA may have not inflicted the maximum possible damage to Moussilmani’s title challenge, but it greatly reduced his advantage over Albeau – placing even greater importance on the final race of the day, but who would be able to hold their nerve? Elimination Six – Winners’ Final Josh Angulo (Angulo / Gun Sails) made the best start of the fleet and held his lead into the opening gybe ahead of Antoine Albeau, Ben Van Der Steen – who was looking for a hat-trick of elimination victories – and Antoine Questel (Starboard / Loft Sails). However, by the third mark Albeau had stormed into the lead, clearly looking to capitalise on his momentum, and that’s exactly what the world champion did as he claimed his second bullet of the week. Behind him, Van Der Steen was able to climb into second place, which sees him rise to the top of the event rankings at the end of day four. Meanwhile, Angulo claimed third place, whilst Questel was able to fend off the challenge of Moussilmani in the battle for fourth and fifth. More importantly for Albeau though, victory in race six sees him take control of the title race with two days to go. Women’s – Elimination Five – Winners Final Valerie Ghibaudo (Tabou / GA Sails) crossed the start line in first place, but was unable to hold onto the lead as Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / Mystic / Maui Ultra Fins) gybed in first place. However, Delphine Cousin (Starboard / Loft Sails) executed a perfect gybe to momentarily assume control, before Offringa stepped on the gas again. The duo enjoyed a terrific battle over the remainder of the course, but on this occasion it was Offringa who came out on top. Behind the top two Lena Erdil (Patrik / Loft Sails / Mystic / AL360) occupied third as she headed for the final mark, but after dropping her gybe, slipped to seventh place. This saw Océane Lescadieu (Starboard / Loft Sails) and María Andrés (Fanatic / Gun Sails / Mystic) rise into third and fourth respectively. Elimination Six – Winners’ Final Valerie Ghibaudo held the top spot as the fleet approached the first buoy, but unfortunately dropped her gybe allowing Lena Erdil to burst into the lead. However, the Turk’s lead didn’t last long as Offringa once again showed her fantastic top speed to race into the top spot by the second mark ahead of Erdil, Delphine Cousin and Océane Lescadieu. Offringa continued to blitz her way across the rest of the course to claim back-to-back victories. Erdil wasn’t far behind in second, whilst Cousin finished third ahead of María Andrés. Elimination Seven  – Winners’ Final Valerie Ghibaudo failed to capitalise on another good start as she catapulted on the opening reach. After the opening gybe it looked for the all the world as though Sarah-Quita Offringa would be celebrating a hat-trick of elimination victories as she raced into the lead, but that isn’t how things panned out. On the final reach the Aruban gem battled to keep control of her gear, as Cousin edged into the lead, but just metres before the line suffered a brutal wipeout. After a few moments of concern, it thankfully turned out that SQ was okay. However, with her chances of victory now gone, it was Delphine Cousin who claimed first place ahead of Lena Erdil, Ghibaudo and Ayako Suzuki (Tabou / GA Sails / Mystic). Elimination Eight – Winners’ Final Delphine Cousin cemented her place at the top of the event rankings with her second bullet of the day, which now puts her within touching distance of the 2014 world title. The reigning world champion led from start to finish with an accomplished display as Offringa had to settle for second place, whilst Lena Erdil and Mio Anayama finished third and fourth. After another good day for Erdil, it looks as though she has second place in the overall rankings wrapped up, barring disaster. Tomorrow promises to be another windy day with a similar looking forecast to the past two days, meaning there should be more warp speed slalom – guaranteeing more enthralling action. Heute, am 3. Wettkampftag des PWA  Airwaves Noumea Dream Cup Slaloms in Neukaledonien ließ die Vorhersage das Fahrerfeld und die Organisatoren nicht im Stich. Bis zu 25 Konten Wind und fast 7 Stunden Slalom Action ließen keine Wünsche offen. 3 komplette Eliminations bei den Herren und 4 bei den Damen sorgten für viele spannende Wettfahrten, lange Arme und strapazierte Stimmbänder von Livestream Kommentator Ben Proffitt. Cyril Moussilmani schafft es bereits die ganze Saison konstante Leistungen abzurufen und machte damit heute nahtlos weiter. Er qualifizierte sich für alle “Winners Finals” und war in allen Wettfahrten in den Top 3 zu finden. Ein großer Schritt in Richtung Titel, doch auch für Antoine Albeau ist trotz Patzer in der 3. Elimination noch alles möglich, denn ab der vierten Wettfahrt gibt es einen Streicher und das schlechteste Ergebnis der vorangegangenen Rennen fliegt aus der Wertung. Pierre Mortefon gewann zwar die erste Wettfahrt des Events, doch mit Antoine und Cyril in den Top 5 hat der dritte Titelanwärter derzeit keine Chance mehr nach der Krone zu greifen. Bei den Mädels schein Delphine Cousin auf dem Weg zum Weltmeistertitel nichts anbrennen zu lassen. 2 Siege, ein Zweiter und ein Dritter Platz sind mehr als konstant und die 23-jährige muss das Event “nur” innerhalb der Top 4 beenden. Beim Kampf um den zweiten Platz in der Gesamtwertung ist zwischen Lena Erdil und Valerie Ghibaudo allerdings noch alles offen. After almost seven hours of racing three eliminations have been completed for the men, whilst four races have been completed for the women. Delphine Cousin (Starboard / Loft Sails) enjoyed a fine day – keeping her title charge firmly on track – as she scored two bullets, a second and a third. Meanwhile, Cyril Moussilmani (Starboard / Severne) continued to show fantastic consistency as he qualified for every winners’ final and finished in the top four or better in each of the three races as he too remains at the top of the rankings. Men’s – Elimination One – Winners’ Final There was good news for Cyril Moussilmani in the opening winners’ final as he saw his main rival – Antoine Albeau – disqualified for a premature start, whilst Josh Angulo (Angulo / Gun Sails) suffered the same fate, opening the door for Moussilmani to make the perfect start to his title charge. However, there was an element of controversy in the opening race as Albeau claimed to have dived downwind of the pin – meaning that he would be reinstated – however with no solid evidence to support this his appeals were turned away. Upon the restart Pierre Mortefon broke into the lead and they twenty-five year old continued to turn on the after burners to claim the opening bullet of the week. Meanwhile, Moussilmani, made the next best possible start as he claimed second place ahead of teammates Cedric Bordes (Tabou / GA Sails) and Ben Van Der Steen (Tabou / GA Sails / Mystic). Elimination Two – Winners’ Final Having been disqualified from the opening winners’ final – Antoine Albeau – responded in the perfect fashion as he crossed the start line in first place – together with Josh Angulo. After making a great start Albeau never looked back as he rounded the first buoy in the lead ahead of Angulo, Pascal Toselli (Starboard / Point-7) and Matteo Iachino (Fanatic / North). Over the remainder of the course – Albeau – opened up a substantial lead to claim his first victory of the week, but more importantly he struck back immediately to keep the pressure on Moussilmani. Behind him, Iachino, managed to out manoeuvre, Angulo, to take home second place, whilst Moussilmani leapfrogged into third place – having been outside the top four – after Angulo and Antoine Questel (Starboard / Loft Sails) both fell at the final mark, which also allowed Cedric Bordes to complete the top four. Elimination Three – Winners’ Final Taty Frans (Starboard / MauiSails / Mystic / MFC) crossed the start line first in the last winners’ final of the day, but it was all change by the opening buoy. As the fleet raced down the opening reach it was Cyril Moussilmani, who held the lead in front of Ben Van Der Steen, Cedric Bordes and Micah Buzianis (JP / MauiSails). However, at this point it was still very close with both Julien Quentel (RRD / NeilPryde) and Arnon Dagan (RRD / NeilPryde) still firmly in the mix. Moussilmani looked to be taking a huge step towards the title – with Antoine Albeau missing from the winners’ final – but during his second gybe he caught his boom in the water, which cost him dearly as Bordes, Dagan, Van Der Steen and Quentel all overtook him by the time they had reached the third mark. The top two remained unchanged from here as Bordes celebrated ending the day, not only with a bullet, but also occupying top spot in the event rankings. Taty Frans in the meantime fought back to third place after coming from nowhere to execute a textbook gybe to overtake several of his rivals, whilst Moussilmani claimed fourth after Van Der Steen fell at the final mark. Women’s  – Elimination One Delphine Cousin couldn’t have made a better start in her bid for the 2014 world title as she timed the start to perfection to break into an early lead. The reigning world champion safely rounded the first mark, as did Valerie Ghibaudo (Tabou / GA Sails), but the same wasn’t true for either Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / Mystic / Maui Ultra Fins) or Lena Erdil (Patrik / Loft Sails / Mystic / AL360), who both fell. By the third mark Cousin had opened up a substantial lead, which proved unassailable as she claimed the first bullet of the week, whilst eighteen year old Océane Lescadieu (Starboard / Loft Sails) made a fine start by claiming second place. Behind the front two, Offringa, had managed to battle back into third place, but saw all of her hard work undone as she dropped her final gybe – allowing Erdil and Ghibaudo to pass as they finished third and fourth respectively. Elimination Two – Winners’ Final Valerie Ghibaudo made the best start to race two, but couldn’t hold the lead into the first mark as Lena Erdil showed great pace to take the lead. The duo then enjoyed a hard fought battle over the next couple of reaches, but ultimately Erdil had too much in the tank on this occasion as she claimed her first victory of the week. Ghibaudo claimed second with Delphine Cousin in third and local girl Sarah Hauser (Tabou / MauiSails) taking home fourth. Elimination Three – Winners’ Final Delphine Cousin made another fine start to race three and she held top spot as the fleet rounded the first gybe. Behind her Sarah-Quita Offringa occupied second place followed by Maria Andres (Fanatic / Gun Sails / Mystic) and Valerie Ghibaudo. However, unlike the first race, Cousin, was unable to hold onto her lead as Offringa burst to the front of the pack to see three different winners in the opening three races. Cousin eventually claimed second place with Andres in third, before carnage unfolded behind them, which saw a pile up at mark three – allowing Lena Erdil to leapfrog into fourth place – having been sixth, whilst Ghibaudo had to settle for tenth – handing her Turkish rival the upper hand in the battle for second and third in the overall rankings. Elimination Four  – Winners’ Final Delphine Cousin continued her fine form in the final race of the day as she led from start to finish to cap a brilliant day. Meanwhile, Valerie Ghibaudo, brought herself back into contention with a second place, allowing her to drop the tenth place from race three, whilst Maria Andres enjoyed another good race as she claimed back-to-back third places. At the third mark Sarah Hauser held third place, but unfortunately dropped her gybe, meaning Sarah-Quita Offringa and Lena Erdil rose into fourth and fifth place respectively. How Things Currently Stand Men’s Cyril Moussilmani still leads the way in the battle for the 2014 PWA Men’s Slalom World Championship after recording a second, third and fourth place today, which edges the Frenchman ever closer to a maiden world title. Moussilmani has given himself a bit of room to play with – with Antoine Albeau (RRD / NeilPryde) currently sitting in fourth place and AA currently trails Moussilmani by 8.7 points – however that could all change. After the fourth race tomorrow a discard will come into play giving Albeau the opportunity to drop a ninth place from race three. Plus with a solid looking forecast – which should enable at least two races a day to be completed – there is still plenty of racing to be had and plenty of time for things to change. With Moussilmani and Albeau both in the top five at the moment, that mean’s Pierre Mortefon (Fanatic / North) is currently out of the running for this year’s title. Women’s  Delphine Cousin sits comfortably at the top of the rankings after the first day of racing here in Noumea, which has seen her take a substantial step towards claiming back-to-back world titles. The twenty-three year old only needs to finish in the top four to secure the title and based on today’s performance it looks almost certain that she will do just that – having won two of the four races completed today. Lena Erdil currently holds the advantage for second place in the overall rankings as the Turk sits second in the event rankings. However, only 0.3 of a point separates her from Valerie Ghibaudo, so there is still all to play for in the battle for second and third. Tomorrow’s forecast should provide almost identical conditions to today, so there should be another action packed day in Noumea. The skippers’ meeting shall once again be held at 10am – with the action commencing from 10:30am. Auch an Tag 2 wurde die Geduld der PWA Fahrer auf eine harte Probe gestellt. Kein Wind beim Airwaves Noumea Dream Cup, wenn auch einige Fahrer heute ihre Boards ins Wasser setzten um sich mit größtem Segel in ein paar wenigen Böen meist erstmals in Neukaledonien ins Gleiten pumpen zu können. Um 16:00 Uhr schickte Headjudge Duncan Coombs die Fahrer in den Feierabend – für morgen sieht die Vorhersage mit 14-16 Knoten dann erstmals vielversprechend aus wir sollten erste Heats im Titelrennen zwischen Antoine Albeau, Cyril Moussilmani und Pierre Mortefon sehen. Der Aloha Classic Event verlief für Philip Köster nicht so ganz nach Plan – doch nichts desto trotz blieb “G-44" nach dem Event noch einige Tage auf Maui in der Hoffnung ein wenig “Freesailing” abgreifen zu können. Leider waren die Windbedingungen nichtmehr wirklich gut, doch eine 30 Minuten Session vor dem Abflug zurück nach Gran Canaria ging sich noch aus – und glücklicherweise war hier die Kamera am Start. Tag 1 in Neukaledonien beim Finale der PWA Worldtour und dem letzten Slalomevent der Saison. Der Airwaves Noumea Dream Cup wird die Entscheidung im Titelrennen zwischen Cyril Moussilmani, Antoine Albeau und Pierre Mortefon bringen. Insgesamt haben sich 57 Herren und 12 Frauen registriert und hofften bereits heute auf den Start des Events - leider vergeblich denn um 16:30 Uhr Ortszeit schickte Headjudge Duncan Coombs das Fahrerfeld wegen Windmangels in den Feierabend. Die Eröffnungsfeier fand um 18:00 Uhr statt und die Fahrer + Organisatoren sind zuversichtlich ordentliche Bedingungen und viele spannende Heats zu sehen. Nachdem in letzter Zeit die Föhn Vorhersage für den Kochelsee oft sehr vielversprechend war, der Wind aber stets vom Nebel ausgebremst wurde, passte am Samstag morgen endlich alles zusammen was einen guten Kochelsee Tag bringen sollte. Leider blieben, wie so oft in diesem Jahr, die Windbedingungen hinter den Erwartungen der zahlreichen Windsurfer zurück. Erst dauerte es ziemlich lange bis überhaupt Gleitwind-Stärke herrschte und dann stellte der Föhn auch noch überraschend schnell seine Dienste ein und drehte auf leichten Nordwind, was einen anderen See überraschend ins Spiel brachte. Der Kochelsee sorgte allerdings zuerst, trotz d er eher mäßigen Bedingungen, für 2 nicht unerhebliche Verbesserungen. Rainer Motloch schraubte mit seinem Avanti M2 7,7 + RRD X-Fire V6 114 seinen V-Max auf 32,97 Knoten. Der 500 Meter Wert liegt bei 30,67 Knoten was im Durchschnitt 31,82 Knoten und Platz 10 für den Herausgeber des Internetmagazins & Webcamportals addicted-sports bedeutet. Tobi Ullrich, Sieger des letzten Jahres, baute im Vergleich zu Rainer viel größer auf. Er riggte sein 9,7er Point-7 AC-1 zero 14 und fuhr einen Starboard iSonic 130 mit 46er Winheller. Der Wert, der als V-Max auf dem GPS Tracker stand war ziemlich unglaublich. 34,58 Knoten mit “dem großen Zeug” und ein Durschnitt von 33,49 Knoten wirbeln das Ranking gehörig durcheinander. Tobi ist zurück auf dem Treppchen, hinter Andy Laufer, auf Platz 2, Claudio Fackelmann rutscht auf Rang 3 ab. Markus Purwitzer steht aktuell nichtmehr auf dem “Stockerl”. Wie bereits angemerkt gab es nach der Kochelsee Session noch eine zweite Schicht am Walchensee. Hier verbesserte sich Armin Pircher mit 7,9er Point-7 AC-1 zero 14 und einem 107er iSonic auf dem 5. Platz. 32,415 Knoten im Durchschnitt. Auch André Wacke war am Start – natürlich mit GPS doch seine Auswertung steht noch aus. Aktuell liegt er noch auf dem 8. Platz Knapp 2 Wochen “Speed Kini” bleiben noch, dann schließt der 2014er Speed Kini. Augen auf und Vorhersagen checken. Mit etwas Glück gibt es noch die ein oder andere Chance.

Steven van Broeckhoven & Yentel Caers befinden sich gerade beide auf Roadtrips und haben sich , nach dem windlosen EFPT Event in Six Fours, wenige Tage später in Carro getroffen und erstklassige Bedingungen abgreifen können. Beide zeigen ihre Freestyle Moves in der Welle – radikale Action in schwierigen Bedingungen und natürlich sinda auch ein paar Back,- und Pushloops am Start. HIER gehts zum Video

Was bei uns der Walchensee ist, ist in der französischen Rhône-Alpes Region die "Monteynard-Talsperre", wo der französische Freestyler Bastien Rama des Öfteren trainiert. Auch die Trickser haben dort, im Vergleich zum oberbayrischen Walchensee, oft richtig Druck im Tuch - doch je weiter der Herbst schreitet desto schwächer werden die Bedingungen auch hier. In 5 Tagen startet das finale Event der PWA Worldtour und im Slalom ist es spannend wie nie. Während Freestyler und Waver bereits im Winterurlaub sind und oft schon an den Traumspots dieses Planeten fleißig für die kommende Saison trainieren ist bei den Racern noch alles offen und im “Competition Mode. Vom 18. – 23. November entscheidet sich das Titelrennen beim Airwaves Noumea Dream Cup in Neukaledonien. Bei den Herren gibts einen Dreikampf an der Spitze. Cyril Moussilmani hält die Pole Position mit 17 Punkten vor Antoine Albeau. Für den Starboard / Severne Fahrer gestaltet sich das “Rechenspiel” um den Titel denkbar einfach, denn wenn Cyril den Event vor Antoine beendet ist er Weltmeister – doch weil es an der Spitze so knapp ist hat auch Antoine die Entscheidung selbst in der Hand. Beendet Albeau den Event mindestens in den Top 5 reicht ihm ein Abstand von einem Platz gegenüber Cyril. Auf Schützenhilfe muss “nur” Pierre Mortefon hoffen, der auch noch eine theoretische Chance auf den Titel hat. Gewinnt der Fanatic / North Fahrer den finalen Worldcup und sowohl Cyril als auch Antoine beenden den Event außerhalb der Top 5 so darf Pierre feiern. Wir sind gespannt – und können schonmal eines sicher sagen: Der WM Titel geht nach Frankreich. Bei den Damen ist die Entscheidung schon klarer , denn der Vorsprung von Delphine Cousin auf Lena Erdil und Valerie Ghibaudo, welche beide punktgleich auf Rang 2 liegen, ist deutlich größer. Nur ein Sieg der beiden Zweitplatzierten bei einem Ergebnis außerhalb der Top 5 für Cousin würde hier das Overall Ranking neu ordnen. Nach einigen Jahren auf Sardinien stand für Wolfgang Strasser in diesem Sommer ein neuer Spot auf dem Programm. Mit seinem Fiat Ducato ging es in Richtung Türkei – genauer gesagt nach Datca. Hier verbrachte “Woife” einen nahezu perfekten Sommer, erwischte starken Wind für kleine Segel, freundliche Locals, leere Spots und die Möglichkeit praktisch jeden Tag mehrfach aufs Wasser zu gehen. Dank Morgen und Abendthermik sogar für alle Könnensstufen. Die Halbinsel von datca ist eine 80km lange, schmale Halbinsel in der Provinz Mugla im Südwesten der Türkei. Sie trennt den Golf von Gökova (im Norden) vom Golf von Hisarönü und liegt westlich der Stadt Marmaris und nördlich der Insel Rhodos und Symi. Der moderne Ort (10.000 Einwohner) liegt in der Mitte der Halbinsel, an einer 5km Engstelle und wird von einer ca. 1000m hohen Bergkette eingerahmt. Datca wird außerdem durch eine Hauptstrasse mit Marmaris (65km) verbunden und es besteht eine Fährverbindung nach Bodrum vom ca. 5km nördlich gelegenen Fährhafen Körmen. Wolfgang Strasser: “Ich verbrachte im Juli-August 2014 genau 42 Tage in Datca und konnte davon 37 Tage mit 4,8er Segel oder kleiner aufs Wasser und dass obwohl im Sommer 2014 der schlechteste Windsommer der letzten 10 Jahre an der Ägäis herrschte. Die besten Surfspots liegen in der ca 15km langgezogenen Bucht, welche übrigens kaum bebaut ist. Der Wind bläst aus Nordwest und kommt schräg ablandig von rechts. In Ufernähe ist der Wind meist böig und das Wasser wechselt von Chop bis hin zu perfekten Flachwasser-Bedingungen. Der Windkanal von Datca schafft es auch an Tagen mit wenig Meltemi, daß sich spätnachmittags und in den Abendstunden eine Thermik mit meist 10-15 kn (4-5 Bft) aufbaut – Somit konnte ich auch an schlechten Tagen mit einem 5,6er Segel auf das Wasser. Ich erlebte es aber auch oft, dass der Wind von 9.00-12.00 Uhr gute 4-5 bft hatte, dann in der Mittagshitze abnahm und um ca 14,30 mit 5-6 bft am Stärksten wehte. Meist gegen 17.00 Uhr wurde es wieder böiger und der Wind dann auf “ablandig” drehte. Bei einer Windvorhersage von 18-25 kn aus Nordwest konnte man meist schon vormittags mit 4-6 bft rechnen und ab 14:30 Uhr auf 5 bis 8 Windstärken zunahm. Bei ordentlich Wind über 6bft gibt es draußen auch eine ordentliche Windwelle zum Springen. In der Region Datca zählen die Sommermonate Juni-September zu den Windstärksten, d.h. es kann mit ca. 80% Windtagen mit über 4bft gerechnet werden. Das Wasser hat angenehme 25-27°C – ein Shorty reicht völlig aus, und die Luft erwärmt sich auf 30°-35°, wobei die Luftfeuchtigkeit eher niedrig ist und so auch hohe Temperaturen auszuhalten sind.” Vorhersagen: Windguru | Windfinder | Muchoviento Datca Allgemein: Es herrscht eine gute Infrastruktur; Tankstellen, Restaurants, Supermärkte, Hotels, Pensionen und Banken etc. Immer Samstag ist ein großer Markt und auch sonst herrscht abends ein reges Treiben in der Stadt. Diese lädt zum Bummeln und Verweilen ein und es ist eine angenehme Stimmung. Man hat oft gar nicht das Gefühl in der Türkei zu sein. Auch die Region Datca ist sehr sauber und die Einheimischen wie türkischen Urlauber wirken sehr westlich geprägt. Die Surfspots liegen ca 8-12 km östlich von Datca entfernt. Wohnen: Datca Surf Holiday Village, Bungalowanlage mit Windsurfschule UCPA (Franzosen), Materialverleih, Volleyballplatz, Beachbar, schmaler Kiesstrand, gepflegt, entspannte Atmosphäre. Victor Fernandez scheitert auf der Zielgeraden und muss sich mit Rang 2 begnügen.
