Before the racers headed out on to the water:

Justine Lemeteyer (PATRIK / PATRIK Sails / AEON Foil System) shifts her mindset: ”I feel good since Fuerte. In Fuerte, I really switched my mindset. I handled the pressure way better than I usually did, so I try to keep the momentum going and just giving my best, enjoying, and it worked good. So I'll try to make the same out here with 100%.”

Pierre Mortefon (FMX Racing / North Sails) on all to gain: "For sure was not the plan on Sylt, but I am where I am. And to be honest, it's not the hardest spot [to be in] because I cannot lose a podium. I can potentially climb, so let's see.”

Fortunately, there has been a positive shift in the forecast. Sunday still looks fairly marginal, but could still produce some racing if the weather is cool enough, while from Monday onwards  it looks like there’s plenty of potential for racing on the remaining three days. The sailors will meet again at 8am (GMT+9) on Sunday morning with a first possible start at 08:30.
